Photo is an illustration of one of Carl Jung's main psychoanalitical ideas...that evey person contains in themselves, a shadow self, representing the parts of one's own identity that they themselves do not see. The Oregon Friends of Jung is a society that meets for lectures and workshops on the work CG Jung, Sigmund Freud’s breakaway buddy and one of the fathers of psychoanalysis. This group is huge in Portland, 250 people often attend. Even people from other cities with more shrinks are impressed. It is another example of the literacy of Portlanders.
